My name is Shauneen Miranda.

I’m a journalist, University of Maryland alumna (shoutout Merrill) and grammar enthusiast.

I’ve dabbled in digital storytelling with a focus on breaking news, radio production at the local and national level, live TV news programming and copy editing — all the things!

I’m currently a DC reporter for States Newsroom, covering politics and policy with a focus on education for the nation’s largest state-focused nonprofit news organization.

Since graduating in May 2022, I’ve also had the privilege of working for NPR, CNN and Axios, where I’ve gathered a wide array of reporting, research and production skills.
